I graduated from Virginia College in 2013 with my associate degree in surgical tech. I started work at LifeNet Health almost 10 years ago. Sirmon does tissue recovery for the organization and loves her job so much that she plans to stay until retirement. Jessica has enjoyed being a part of the Alabama State Assembly since 2013. Since then, she has been a Director, Vice President and now President. She has also been a delegate for Alabama at National conference around 6 times.

Abigail Jones graduated from Wallace Community College with an Associates degree in Surgical Technology and has been a CST for Five Years at Flowers Hospital.Jones decided to become a CST because, she found the day to day life of the OR Intriguing but also knowing no matter how many times she do the same surgical case, she will never see the exact same situation twice. Abigail take pride in her work as an CST. Jones also enjoys furthering her education in this field so she can help educate the future CSTs at her hospital.

Caylen Cooley-Howard, CST

Caylen graduated with a degree in surgical technology in 2014. Since then she has been serving her community, AST, AORN, and hospitals in several different states. Caylen started her career at a level1 trauma center in SLC Utah. She specialized in pediatrics with a focus in eyes, plastics, and ENT. She served that area for 5 years doing trauma for 3 of the 5 years. While in Utah she was also an AST board of director and secretary. Caylen has also been on the board in the state of Georgia where she lived and served for 4 years. In Georgia, she changed her focus to robotics and did every specialty possible with robotics. Caylen also became the facility's Certified Laser safety officer and helped build up and train a Laser team for the operating room and burn department. In early 2023 ,Caylen relocated to northern Alabama and helped her local hospitals build and train a robotics team. She recently took a job as robotics coordinator at a facility in Tennessee.
Delishie A. Hill CST, CSFA

Del has been in the OR for almost 30 years. Her background started in veterinary medicine as a Licensed Veterinary Technologist. She found her love for surgery there and applied for the scrub class at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL that started January of 1995. She knew she wanted to do orthopedics from the start, while becoming versed in other specialties as well, including level-one trauma. She found her true passion in doing spine cases and now works full-time on the spine team at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. Although she finds herself missing doing total joints and ortho trauma, her passion for spine surgery always wins.
LaShane Lynn Ledbetter, CST

LaShane graduated from Southern Crescent Technical College, previously known as Griffin Technical College, in 2006. She started to work at Piedmont Fayette Hospital full-time as the orthopedic clinician over the spine and shoulder surgery. In 2014, LaShane then went to work at City of Hope, previously known as Cancer Treatment Center of America, for 5 years. There she learned HIPEC surgery and nano-knife surgery. In 2019, LaShane started traveling. In her arsenal, she has Emory St. Joe, Central Vermont Medical Center, Cox South Medical Hospital, and Brookwood Baptist Hospital. During her time traveling, she has learned Neurosurgery, Cataract surgery, Ortho/Neurotrauma, Maxface, and Corneal transplants. LaShane is now in the middle of a contract at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where it all started for her.
